HOW TO…….PREPARE Chin chin

Chin Chin recipes are numerous on the internet. But this is the best and the simplest and also the most enjoyable. Chin Chin is sweet and crunchy. It tastes like fried cookies. The taste might slightly vary depends on the flavors added. It is a snack most enjoyable by people. Instead of going out to buy it, why don’t we make our own chin chin. Here is a very exciting recipe.

1. Eggs.

2. Milk.

3. Sugar

4. Orange zest.

5. flour,

6. baking powder,

7. a pinch of salt,

8. Freshly grated nutmeg

Making Chin Chin requires 7 easy steps:

1. In a bowl, mix together eggs, milk, sugar and orange zest.

2. In another bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, freshly grated nutmeg and room temperature butter until combined.

3. Add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and mix to form dough.

4. Transfer the dough onto a floured working surface and lightly knead.

5. cut out a portion of the dough (about the size of a golf ball). Roll the dough into about ⅛ inch thick.

6. Cut into 1-inch squares or strips (about 1 by 5 inch).

7. Heat up oil in a frying pot or pan and fry until lightly golden in color.

· Some people ask how to stop the oil from foaming when frying chin chin, first of all do not overcrowd the pan, and fry only a small quantity at a time. It takes more time to fry only a small quantity of Chin Chin at once but it is worth the wait!

Also, follow the recipe. Do exactly as you are told and last but not least; do not overfill the frying pan with oil and your chin chin will come out just as fine as the one below.
